Solas Nua, the only contemporary Irish arts organization in the United States, is proud to present the Capital Irish Film Festival in conjunction with the Irish Film Institute, Culture Ireland and Reel Ireland, and with generous support from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Films Include:

On Saturday, December 6th at 10:00 am, Pastry Chef Yasmine Sandhu will
share her delicious and figure-friendly holiday recipes in her cooking
class, Baking for the Holidays the Rock Creek Way. Priced at $65 per
person, Sandhu will teach class participants how to bake holiday
desserts, cookies and gingerbreads using Rock Creek’s “mindful dining”
philosophy. The class includes lunch and “goodie bags” to take home
for the holidays.

Holiday Bazaar

House of Sweden

Suggested donation of $2 at the door.

The annual Swedish Christmas Bazaar at House of Sweden features holiday decorations, candles, books, movies for the kids, a café with Swedish baked goods, and a traditional Lucia procession at 5:30 pm.

Enter your Gingerbread House and be sure to stay and see the winners announced later in the day (The house should be brought on a tray to House of Sweden on Saturday, December 6 before 12 noon).
