Jazz in the Garden

Smithsonian Sculpture Garden
Submitted by Greg on June 23, 2009 - 1:45pmThis free, super-popular summertime staple attracts a crowd of 20-somethings that lay out on the grass, enjoy the music, and drink copious amounts of wine. It's a great scene!
This concert series features an array of jazz artists performing a range of styles—from swing to progressive to Latin—every Friday evening from 5pm to 8:30pm at the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, rain or shine (In case of inclement weather, concerts are held inside the Pavilion Café).
For an additional treat, picnic baskets filled with fruit, wine and assorted cheeses are available from the Pavilion Café (pre-order them from their link!).
Free, and open to the public.
Runs all summer on Fridays till September 10. See the full summer schedule here.
Check out photos from the event here!
