Yelp.com is teaming up with the Naval Heritage Center to throw the biggest, baddest, most, um, nautical indoor/outdoor sunset soiree that DC has ever experienced!

While the evnet is free, we will be asking for donations to local food kitchen, DC Central Kitchen, as part of our Tons of Tuna campaign, so please consider bringing a can or two of your favorite chickens of the sea.

Once inside, prepare your palate for noshable nibbles courtesy of various local eateries: Jackson’s Roasting and Carving Company will be hand-carving their succulent roasted meats for your sauce-dipping pleasure, Teaism’s mini salty oat cookies will leave your mouth watering for more, and Z-Burger’s shakes will help you wash it all down before you drop anchor on Gifford’s Ice Cream's desserted isle.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg, folks! Loads of luscious libations await on the SS Yelp. Glug on an assortment of grog from Red Stag, Jim Beam’s new black cherry-infused bourbon whiskey, as well as DeKuyper shots doled out by pretty young recruits and glasses of MGD 64 that will keep you refreshed (and buzzed) throughout the evening’s festivities.

Sample specialty ginger mojitos crafted with Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur and Mount Gay Rum or mix it up with "YelpTeanis" courtesy of Non-Stop Vodka and Honest Tea. Classy crews can also sip on glasses of New Zealand’s Peter Yealands ultra-green Sauvignon Blanc and sustainably-farmed Tilia Malbec from Argentina. With all that sauce, you'll want stay hydrated with Busboys and Poets' revitalizing pomegranate lemonade – you'll need the antioxidants to prevent scurvy!

Party on Marz will be spinning beats as you whirl under the stars at the United States Navy Memorial. Think you’ve got the moves? Try to keep up with the performances by JOLT’s Best Dance Crew. And don’t forget to dress up in your islander best; whether that means donning an eye patch and peg leg, sailor uniform, or your preppiest yachting popped-collar polo – perfect for getting whisked away by the JOLT Events green screen photobooth.
