In anticipation of a wave of gay weddings in the District, Mervis Diamond Importers is designing a new line of wedding rings especially for the gay market.

The retailer will unveil the line at a “Coming Out” party on February 18, 2010 at their DC store, 1700 K St. NW. The “Coming Out” party will be thrown in conjunction with DCsGayWeddingPlanners.com, the first wedding planning company in the area to focus especially on this niche market.

The “Coming Out” party will offer guests an informal setting where they can meet other GLBT-friendly wedding vendors and begin the celebratory planning. Don Gillin, owner of the DCsGayWeddingPlanners.com, will be accessible to field questions on all aspects of planning a non-traditional wedding. For jewelry related questions, however, Don will defer to his new business partner, Ronnie Mervis.
