“YES WE CAN” Find Romance Post-Valentine’s Day Speed Dating Event

Generation Obama (VA/DC/MD Chapter) will host a speed dating/networking event to help young Obama supporters make new friends and hopefully a new romance.

Participants will have seated six-minute conversations with 10 singles (this is the required relationship status to participate) over the course of an hour where you can learn a little bit about a person who might be their next special someone or just another great contact for work or fun in the city.

Every attendee will receive a scorecard where they will mark down and even send a message to who they would like to stay in contact with after the event so there’s no pressure to exchange personal information!

After the event everyone is welcome to enjoy happy hour at the bar to continue their conversations or start new ones with their fellow like-minded young progressive professionals between 22-35!

The $10 entry cost benefits the important issue of DC Voting Rights. Learn more about the work being done to end “taxation without representation” in the District of Columbia at http://www.dcvote.org

Generation Obama-Washington, DC (VA/DC/MD chapter) has over 3,000 members in its network and was launched in August 2007 as part of Obama For America's young voter outreach program to recruit twenty and thirty somethings. Currently with the Democratic National Committee’s new Gen 44 Program and Organizing For America, GO-DC is continuing to grow and build the Movement to support the President's agenda through 2012 and beyond via networking and training programs for Career, Capitol Hill, OFA Alumni and Community Outreach as well as Advocacy, Service, White House, Campaign and Fundraising activities.
