15th Annual PRS Kentucky Derby Benefit

May 1st: The 15th Annual PRS Kentucky Derby Benefit is an elegant, festive, and eagerly-awaited occasion attracting about 150 prominent local executives, elected officials, community leaders and friends. Join us at Fairfax Supervisor John Foust's home in McLean, VA, to enjoy all the fun and tradition of Churchill Downs - right here in Northern Virginia! Guests will enjoy a variety of delicious foods including our McCormick & Schmick Shrimp-and-Oyster Bar, our Trust Company of Virginia Mint Julep Bar, silent and live auctions, an exciting wagering table and of course, the 136th Run for the Roses. PRS (www.prsinc.org) provides skills training and supports to people with serious mental illness in Northern Virginia to help them work toward recovery and community integration. All proceeds from the 15th Annual PRS Kentucky Derby Benefit support PRS programs that: - Help PRS clients learn job skills and choose-get-and-keep competitive employment. - Enable clients to set and achieve personal goals, build relationships and find community support. - Provide case management services, assessment and counseling and life-skills training. - Provide supported housing and other residential services. - Assist clients in working toward independence and self-sufficiency.
