This October, I'll attempt the 35th Annual Marine Corps Marathon here in the District in support of friends Lt. Dan Cnossen and his little sister Leslie.

Dan is a Naval Academy grad, Navy SEAL, fellow San Diegan (I still like to consider myself one) and extreme, incredible badass. After returning to Afghanistan last September, he suffered life threatening injuries and has spent the past year recovering and rehabbing in the DC area. Leslie is his caretaker, roommate, and main wingman. She is by his side through physical therapy, travels with him to races, accompanies him to events and supports him daily -clearly the most fabulous brother/sister team ever.
