Evening of Dominican Culture

"Evening of Dominican Culture" was an idea that began in hopes of celebrating Dominican Restoration Day* here in Washington, DC. As initial contacts were made and conversations began, collaborators at the DC Latino Student Partnership (DCLSP) and Dominicans in DC Meetup realized this event would be best accomplished during Hispanic Heritage Month.

Dominican Ambassador to the USA, Roberto Saladin, will be the keynote speaker at Evening of Dominican Culture and Special Guest Speaker, Cecilia Domeyko, Executive Director & Producer of “Code Name: Butterflies” <http://www.codenamebutterflies.org/> will join Ambassador Saladin for this memorable evening.

Evening of Dominican Culture is a collaboration of the DC Latino Student Partnership (DCLSP) and Dominicans in DC Meetup in light of Hispanic Heritage Month. The event will be a cultural presentation highlighting facts about the Dominican Republic 's history and culture, followed by a reception featuring traditional Dominican cuisine.
