Led by Trevor, the five-course sushi dinner features an array of ZENTAN’s signature dishes, sensational sushi and premiere sake pairings.
The tempting pre-fixe sushi dinner features five-courses specially crafted by ZENTAN’s sushi chef Jason Zheng and Chef de Cuisine Jaime Montes de Oca Jr. To begin the evening, guests will share bowls of edemame and Zentan’s celebrity chef Susur Lee’s signature Singapore Slaw. The mouthwatering sushi selection that will follow is designed to showcase the authentic tradition of the cuisine and includes Kanpachi, Ocean Trout, Sweet Shrimp, Sea Scallop, Madai Snapper, Horse Mackerel, Octopus, Eel – Anago, Flounder - Konbujime Hirame and Oshizushi. The meal will close with a satisfying soup and dessert of panna cotta. A selection of premium sake including Voices in the Mist, Junmai Nigori; Southern Beauty, Junmai Gingo and Heaven’s Door, Tokubetsu Junmai are the perfect complement for the evening.
Throughout the dinner, Trevor Corson will discuss the surprising history and secret etiquette of sushi with guests. A frequent guest on NPR and television shows such as Iron Chef America, where he has appeared as a judge, Trevor and his work have been featured on ABC News with Charles Gibson and CBS Sunday Morning. Trevor is the author of the bestselling book The Story of Sushi: An Unlikely Saga of Raw Fish and Rice, which tells the unknown tale of Japan’s most mysterious meal through the true story of a group of apprentice sushi chefs in Los Angeles; it was named a Best Food Book of the Year by Zagat and selected as an Editor’s Choice by the New York Times Book Review.
