Free Community Film: Change the Day

Lincoln Theatre
Submitted by Greg on June 24, 2009 - 9:44pmThis movie is essentially an unknown, never-seen-before story of the Obama campaign told through the eyes of two collegiate marching bands in Virginia. The campaign really isn't the focus-- the film looks at these kids who love playing music and marching and are also watching closely the changes overcoming their country and themselves. This screening will be sweet, free and extra convenient.
We're thrilled to have this event at the beautiful and historic Lincoln Theatre - a non-profit performing arts center in the heart of the U St Corridor (next to Ben's Chili Bowl) that has hosted the likes of Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, and Alicia Keys and represents so much of what is great about this city.
