For the first time, the Festival will take place over 2 days, and will feature some of our country’s most well-loved and celebrated authors and personalities – including Amy Chua, Julianne Moore, Garrison Keillor, Toni Morrison and Dave Eggers, among others.

The Festival, for which President Barack Obama and Mrs. Obama are Honorary Chairs, regularly attracts more than 100,000 visitors who come to hear their favorite authors speak, get pictures taken with PBS costumed characters and more.

This year’s Festival will take place in Washington, D.C. between 9th and 14th Streets on 9/24 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on 9/25 from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. (rain or shine).

As the Festival approaches, feel free to visit www.loc.gov/bookfest to view author bios, event information and author video interviews and podcasts from past years.

The Library will also be posting updates on Twitter (http://twitter.com/librarycongress, hashtag #natbookfest) and Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/libraryofcongress).
