Calling all athletes and couch-potatoes alike!

Cross the start line into the shops of Crystal City and rest your weary legs periodically at our hydration stations along the race course- but you won’t find any sports drinks or bananas here- just wine!

With many wines to choose from before the finish line, spend your Saturday or Sunday walking with friends along the indoor, shops of Crystal City.

Choose heats starting every half hour from 2:00 to 5:30 PM and make your way through the race course in the Shops at Crystal City with your 20 tasting tickets while snacking on cheese, bread and more to keep those muscles working. Best part, each racer receives a1K Race Tee Shirt!

Remember...no running please!.

Advanced purchase required- registration for each heat closes when sold out. No actual tickets will be issued. Please bring your purchase receipt with you. Must be 21 to attend with proper photo ID.

In the event of snow, the event will continue as long as the metro is running. Crystal City is located on the Blue/Yellow lines of the metro and there are several parking garages in the area, though Washington Wine Academy encourages all participants who will be drinking to take the metro. In the event of another catastrophic "Snowmageddon" where the Metro is shut down, the events of that weekend will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 28 & 29, 2012 - same details, times, etc. No refunds but anyone can attend in your place with your registration info and proper photo ID (must be 21).

Please note Virginia Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) requires us to stop pouring at 7pm.

Parking: Free Garages and Street parking available. Come via Metro!

Metro: Crystal City (Blue/Yellow Lines).

Note: Race times are firm and please only show up for the time slot purchased. No early starts.
