2nd Annual "Beer Bowl"

Café Saint-Ex
Submitted by Anita on November 4, 2009 - 2:49pmThe Super Bowl has turned into the Beer Bowl at Café Saint-Ex.
To honor the two teams in the game, the New England Patriots and New York Giants, they're offering game-time beer specials and bringing in beers from each of the teams' hometowns: Samuel Adams Boston Lager from New England and Brooklyn Lager from New York.
Football fans can enjoy $15 pitchers and $4 pints from 5 p.m. on, with early game-watchers scoring free beer glasses from each of the breweries.
The 14th Street gathering spot will also have a special Super Bowl menu with upscale takes on bar bites like Buffalo-style Sweetbreads with Cackalacky hot sauce, celery and blue cheese mousse, Prosciutto and Fontina Potato Skins, Old Bay Puffed Pork Rinds, Housemade Pancetta Cheese Fries and Pork Butter with housemade bread.
And for football know-it-alls, the popular bar will host several rounds of football trivia during halftime, with a Saint-Ex gift card up for grabs for the winner.
