Social Media Week Washington DC 2012

From February 13-17, DC will host its first ever Social Media Week, a week-long festival featuring independently curated (and mostly free) speakers, panels, workshops, events, and parties all across the district celebrating tech and social media in the Nation's Capital.

From networking events, to political panels, to hackathons, to Twitter improv, Social Media Week will connect people, content, and conversation around emerging trends in social and mobile media, asserting DC as a growing leader in the tech industry.

Start the week off by feeding your brain and your mouth at the Kick Off Breakfast at Pillsbury’s Law Office in Dupont with complimentary food and a series of panels that will surely set the tone for the week.

On Wednesday don’t miss Social Media Week DC’s official keynotes that will occur at the monthly DC Tech Meetup at the historic Sixth & I Synagogue.

The festival will close out on Friday at Local 16 with a Closing Party happy hour and open bar.

Social Media Week DC will run concurrently to a number of other Social Media Week conferences held around the world, in cities that include New York, San Francisco, Miami, Toronto, London, Paris, Rome, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, and Sao Paulo. Social Media Week brings hundreds of thousands of people together every year through learning experiences that aim to advance our understanding of social media’s role in society.
