From September 4-13, 2015, the Kennedy Center presents Finding a Line: Skateboarding, Music, and Media, an unprecedented festival that celebrates a vibrant and influential American subculture by highlighting the creative ties and improvisational elements shared between skateboarding and live music in an open and collaborative environment.

The 10-day event features both ticketed and free performances as well as free “open skate sessions” and exhibits, which connect art, sport, and play with a strong sense of community and fellowship.

Skaters of all abilities are invited to find their line in the specially commissioned skate park on the Front Plaza in this free Open Skate Session hosted by The DC Wheels / Dust Farm with music by Prince Rama and Chain & The Gang.
