It's definitely hip to be square! No partner, lessons, overalls, or fancy dress needed. Just come out and enjoy yourself!

Last square dance of spring! Caller Kim Forry from Annapolis will be making her DC Square Dance debut, bringing the same high-energy style that she's used to teach thousands to flat-foot. Joining her will be the Sunny Mountain Serenaders of Virginia and North Carolina -- John Schwab, Mark Campbell and Mac Traynham, with local Kevin Enoch holding down the bass. It's gonna be a good one - and possibly the last one til fall - so mark your calendars and come on out!

All are welcome – young and old, brand new and experienced dancers. No partner, lessons, overalls, or fancy dress needed!

Time: Doors at 8:00 pm; Dancing from 8:30 to 11:30 pm.

RSVP on Facebook (optional!)

Admission: $5 cash or check at the door - sorry, no credit cards.

Snacks and drinks to share are welcomed.

Folks from outside the neighborhood, we recommend taking the metro! St. Stephens is a short walk from the Columbia Heights station on the green/yellow line. For drivers, there is a garage below the mall on Park Rd. at 14th St, or you may be able to find street parking.

This dance is sponsored by the Folklore Society of Greater Washington.
