Lunar New Year Party at Blind Whino

It’s time to say goodbye to the year of the monkey and welcome the Year of the Rooster on January 28, 2017. This year, we’re excited to celebrate this joyous occasion with you, our AAPI family, and friends at the Blind Whino - a two story Church reinvented into an art gallery and event space that embraces community, inspiration and creativity. The perfect venue to host our 2nd annual Lunar New Year party, where we can reflect on the accomplishments we had in 2016 while aspiring for more amazingness in 2017.

Ok here are a few highlights to the event:

4) REREN provides fresh organic ingredients for their Asian Fusion Cuisine. Dinner menu is split into three groups - Vegetarian, Mixture of Vegetables and Meat, and Pescetarian options:

*Vegetarian: Grandmother Pancake, Green Beans
*Mixture: Mama's Fried Pork Dumplings, Braised Min Lions Head, Crispy Eggplant (with meat), Boneless Chicken
*Pescetarian: Reren Coconut Shrimp, Crazy Fish

3) Top three entertainment are presented by Ascend Greater Washington Chapter:
* Chinese Lion Dance - Tai Yim Kung Fu School
* Dance - Culture Shock Dance Troupe - Washington, D.C.
* Ribbon and Handkerchief Dance - Emerald Dove Dancers
* DJ Fly2K - Don P Ham

3) We will have three artists at the 1,800 sqft Gallary Space. Confirmed artists are Elmer Calata (www.elmercalata.com), Claire Ma, and Michelle Lauren (IG: @ArtByMichelleLauren) and (http://artbymichelle.wixsite.com/portfolio).

2) We will have two full time photographers from PSK! It is black tie optional and Cocktail Dress or gown as long as it's on the more formal side.

Blind Whino is easily accessible to the Navy Yard & Waterfront Metro (within 10-15 minute walk) and plenty of parking for those driving.

For the planners and deal seekers, we’ll be offering Early Bird rates (limited quantity) starting on 12/5/16 (SOLD OUT) and Regular Admission tickets from (check eventbrite link) to 1/27/17. Procrastinators, rejoice! You can buy tickets at the door for $$$. That said, the earlier you register, the cheaper your ticket price. Tickets are non-refundable, but fully transferrable.
