Included Items:
We'll be up on the second floor DC9 Nightclub. Singing starts around 7:30pm, but come early to enjoy the roof and happy hour. Bring friends, or come alone. We'll display music videos with lyrics. No singing abilities necessary!

Earth Day is on April 22, so let’s sing songs inspired by our home planet and its wild/natural side!

April 2017 is also the third birthday of A People’s Choir DC, so bring your party hats.

Some inspiration: Songs with "earth" or "world" in the title, songs about (or with lots of lyrics about, or titles featuring) weather or geographic elements, songs by artists with natural elements or animals in their name, Big Yellow Taxi (obviously), etc. There are no hard and fast rules for this one, but (as usual) we'll try to avoid songs we've done in the past year. See the website for a full archive!

Have any song ideas? Submit your suggestion(s) below or on apcdc.weebly.com by the end of the day April 5th.

We'll be up on the second floor DC9 Nightclub. Singing starts around 7:30pm, but come early to enjoy the roof and happy hour. The big, sliding door halfway to the roof should be open around 7:00pm. Bring friends, or come alone. We'll display music videos with lyrics. No singing abilities necessary!

For those of you wondering what this is all about:

A People's Choir DC is a casual sing-along. It isn't a performance; it's a group effort. We play the actual songs (not the vocal-less karaoke version), and you can stand around or sit or dance...and sing.

If you don't know a song, no worries - make up the tune as you go or just sit it out. There is no sheet music at A People's Choir, only song lyrics, which we'll provide (along with the music videos).

We don't care about your singing ability, just your enthusiasm - and we're pretty flexible in that area as well. Just show up and enjoy yourself! It's free.

Like the page (A People's Choir DC) or join the email list (see http://apcdc.weebly.com/contact.html) to get updates on events! DC's choir is based off of the original Portland choir, which you can also check out on Facebook (A People's Choir).
