Looking to mix up your humdrum happy hour? Then swing by Dirty Martini this Monday evening (or any Monday) to hear live smooth jazz from local artist B. Blunt and his band Coolfire as you sip the eponymous beverage or one of Dirty Martini’s other signature cocktails. Our favorites from its new fall drink menu include the Part Figtion (Dirty Martini’s chest warming take on an Old Fashioned, but sweetened with fig instead of a maraschino cherry) and the Perfect Pair (a pulpy blend of Grey Goose La Poire, homemade spiced pear jam, lemon juice, honey, fresh grated nutmeg, and a dash of habanero with a twist)—tastes like a pear in a glass! If you’re really thirsty, you can order it (or any cocktail) in the 48-ounce “Big Dirty” size for $79.99. Come early and enjoy happy hour specials (4pm to 7pm Monday through Friday and 2pm to 5pm on Saturdays) including $2 draft beers, $7 rail cocktails, and $5 select red and white wines. Wanna nibble? Then sample one of Dirty Martini’s generously-portioned flatbreads—we loved the slightly sweet but savory one topped with herby pesto verde, hand-torn prosciutto, creamy goat cheese, and candied fig slices.
After cocktails, make sure to stick around for dinner. We enjoyed several items from Dirty Martini’s new fall dinner menu, like the buttery New Zealand lamb chops, marinated and seared with a rich red zinfandel hoisin and cranberry reduction, and topped with a sprinkle of halved sweetened cranberries. It comes flanked by tender wilted spinach and uber-cheesy potatoes au gratin. Can’t stick around? Dirty Martini offers carryout service too. Night owls can enjoy light late night dining until 1am Thursday through Saturday. Early birds stay tuned—Dirty Martini will begin serving Sunday brunch soon.
