THURSDAY, May 7 Thursday Night Social Club The Renaissance Mayflower Hotel (Mezzanine level) 1127 Connecticut Avenue NW 5pm - 7pm $20 per person, includes food, beers, wines, and special gift! Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 202-776-9270. The Renaissance Mayflower Hotel is proud to announce the launch of its Thursday Night Social Club series. Delight in hors d’oeuvres and a featured entrée personally prepared by Executive Chef Abdellah Aguenaou. In addition, guests will enjoy an assortment of specialty cocktails or locally produced beers and wines, along with live music. The inaugural Thursday Night Social Club theme will be Soft Shell Crabs. Since May kicks off soft shell crab season, Chef Aguenaou wanted to highlight this once a year seafood treasure with Tempura Soft Shell Crabs, spring vegetables, and a lemon ponzu sauce. Guests will also get to indulge in Acclaimed Pastry Chef Stephane Giannoni’s Crepe Suzette with Grand Marnier and Flying Dog Brewery’s seasonal and signature brews. The Soft Shell Crab Social Club is priced at $20 per person, all inclusive. In addition, guests are encouraged to check out the new “Magnum Room” on the hotel’s Mezzanine level, an elegant private dining space which can accommodate anything from all day business meetings and customized private lunches and dinners to social functions such as wine tastings. The dining table seats up to 12 people and can be reserved on the date of the event. Upcoming Thursday Night Social Club themes include: Fresh Atlantic Tuna on June 4th; Farmer’s Market Finds on September 3rd; and Fall Classics on October 1st.
