Join us as we bring you the images of the moments from the backstage world of ballet by Marianne Luther and the stunning ballet performance by Ballet Teatro Internacional.

Since Marianne Luther first picked up her camera the backstage world was a big part of her photography. Being a talented portraitist with total immersion into photography she constantly seeks realty in the image, the edge of emotion. Born in a family of classical musicians of three generations, daughter of renowned conductor Robert Luther, from early age she had a priceless knowledge of ballet, opera and orchestra beautiful and specific world. This musical and artistic heritage added a lot to Marianne Luther's vision in photography. She is fortunate to work with many fascinating people around the world.

This series of photos was made in Thailand during the rehearsal of "Raymonda", choreography by Elena Tchernychova.

The evening will feature live performance by Ballet Teatro Internacional, one of DC's newest, most innovative dance company and dance school.

Ballet Teatro Internacional (BTI) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Washington, DC that fosters two initiatives a professional Dance Company and a Dance Institute. Through dance and music, the company strives to express human emotion, abstract concepts, and social commentary that reflect the intricacies of current and past global cultures. It presents choreography and music by both established and emerging choreographers, and attracts dancers from all over the world. www.btidance.org
