ZooLights

ZooLights, the National Zoo’s annual free holiday event, takes place from Nov. 28 – Jan. 1 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. every night (except Dec. 24, 25, 31).

Admission is free and this event is appropriate for all ages.

Visitors can expect to see over 500,000 environmentally friendly LED lights decorate the Zoo, draping trees and creating larger than life animal illuminations.

Food will be available for purchase, as well as $3 train rides and tubing (purchase tickets on site).

We sell beer, wine, and a variety of festive drinks to get you in the holiday spirit. Get a drink at Mane Restaurant, or the Visitors Center.
