Organic, that is!  Look no further than Organic to Go—a newcomer to the DC-area that serves up certified and natural organic soups, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and other entrees.  Two standouts are the grilled garden veggie sandwich (grilled zucchini, bell peppers, sweet onions, and a splash of vinaigrette on artisan bread) and the curried chicken salad (chunks of organic chicken in a light creamy curry sauce—available either as a sandwich or off their extensive by-the-pound salad bar).  Vegetarian and vegan items are clearly labeled and meat and poultry items are free of nitrates, hormones, and antibiotics—great for those of us who want to eat healthful food on the go. Most of the packaging is eco-friendly and the cozy café furniture is crafted from sustainable bamboo. Eat your heart out Leonardo!

Located in the heart of Metro Center, Organic to Go is convenient to most DC office dwellers looking for a quick and easy breakfast, lunch, or snack.  It also offers an extensive catering menu and boxed lunches—so keep it in mind for your next office function.  Three more outposts (in High Noon’s previous locations at McPherson Square, 19th and M, and Arlington) are scheduled to open within the next few months, so it shouldn’t be long before you can get your organic fix!
