Last Saturday’s After Party to the 9th Annual Taste of the Stars Gala, hosted by Starlight Children's Foundation MidAtlantic's Young Professionals Council, brought many beautifully-dressed young professionals, including DC’s elite young business leaders and community members, to the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown. The Taste of the Stars Gala and After Party benefited the Starlight Children’s Foundation Mid-Atlantic, and despite the renovations that the hotel itself was undergoing, the wonderful Four Seasons staff led everyone in the right direction where quite the presentation awaited!

Starlight Children's Foundation Mid-Atlantic GalaGuests, including those who attended the Gala, (MC-ed by MSNBC’s Tucker Carlson), enjoyed an open bar, DJ, champagne, and cigar lounge! And then there were the amazing desserts from the verrry long dessert table. It was a close tie between the chocolate mousse and the mini pumpkin cheesecakes for us!  But of course the most important part of the night was hearing about all the great work that the Foundation does from Starlight MidAtlantic’s Tina McCormack, Katie Strumpf, and the Foundation’s official spokesperson (and longtime volunteer), Mrs. Galaxy International 2009, Deborah Wright. As spokesperson, her work includes promoting Starlight MidAtlantic’s mission of helping seriously ill children and their families, and visiting hospitals to spend time with children and families who benefit from the Foundation’s activities and programs.

The evening came to a close with some very cool party favors including Georgetown Cupcakes!  Needless to say, this After Party was quite the “Star” in our books!
