Last Saturday, we joined the wonderful folks at D’Brows boutique salon in celebrating the launch of their new beauty and lifestyle blog, "D’Brows on U," while indulging in an array of pampering spa services. We sipped on champagne and munched on snacks while enjoying fabulous services like makeup applications and waxing services. Although the latter service may not make everyone’s list of favorite pastimes, “tis the season,” as they say, and with very friendly, highly trained professionals like Tiera (who specializes in waxing and skincare treatments), you know you’re in good hands! For eyebrows, she explained to this semi-compulsive plucker that D’Brows promotes a natural eyebrow shape to complement each individual’s look, as opposed to following trends or a “one-shape-fits-all” method. Tiera and I were busy chatting it up and before I knew it, I was oh-so-ready for that long overdue Caribbean vacation!
In addition to celebrating the launch of D’Brows on U, last Saturday (June 6) also marked the salon’s second anniversary, and blog writer and D’Brows’ owner Dawn Dickerson is kicking off the salon’s second year with a bang. From Dawn’s personal story to interactive topics like, ”My 1st Brazilian,” and “How Lashes Changed My Life,” D’Brows on U is sure to be an entertaining read. However, we DEFINITELY cannot wait to read more about the salon’s quest to bring the First Lady herself to D’Brows! After all, Mr. Obama made quite the impression earlier in the year at next door’s Ben’s Chili Bowl. We will anxiously be following blog topic, “6 Degrees of Michelle Obama,” to see what happens next and, most importantly, who the lucky person who brings her to the salon is (Hint: Big Prize)!
