Looking for some tasty late-night grub? Then look no further than Muncheez Mania. The brainchild of former Duke student David Nammour (whose dad just happens to own Capital Restaurant Concepts), this little joint provides late-night fare to Georgetown’s post-party crowd. Open until 4am Thursday through Saturday, it has a cool yet energetic vibe—enhanced by local artist Matt McMullen’s colorful and vibrant urban art murals. Communal back benches, where you can munch and mingle while grooving to fun music mixes, let you keep the party going with old and new friends alike.

Wraps, which are the main attraction here, are big. Thin Muncheez come wrapped in saj, a thin crispy flatbread that is popular in the Middle East and is cooked on an upside-down iron wok (called a saj, duh!). Oven Muncheez are nestled into a slightly thicker version of the same bread. All breads are hand stretched and made fresh in-house.

Yeah, there’s standard daytime fare (like the oh-so-proper marinated chicken and cheese wrap), but in the wee hours of the morning you’re probably hankering for something a bit less civilized. We recommend the Frankfurter wrap—an all beef hot dog topped with gooey cheddar cheese, homemade coleslaw, crunchy potato chips, pickles, ketchup, and zesty mustard. Want something meatier? Then try the Beef Brisket Cheese Steak wrap—spicy brisket (smoked for 12 hours at sister restaurant Old Glory) with BBQ mayo, melted cheddar cheese, and grilled onions and peppers. Veggie-lovers, fear not, Nana’s Original (an herby blend of thick, creamy labne, wild thyme, olive oil, fresh mint, and vegetables wrapped in oven saj) will satisfy your cravings. Fries here are curly, crispy, and spiced with a mix of seasonings.

Can’t take a break from bar hopping? Muncheez Mania’s walk-up crepe window (with turntable-like crepe-making stations) is open year round and offers both sweet and savory selections. We swooned over the decadent Nutella and banana crepe. Wanna feel like a kid again? Then try the fun and flavorful PBJ version.

Muncheez Mania hopes to expand its concept to other areas and may even add delivery service at some point. Here’s to much more Muncheez Mania!
